Our client seeks a Client Service Manager for payroll. The Payroll Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall client service delivery and team leadership. In this role, the Operations Manager will ensure that service levels are maintained, performance metrics are met, and developmental, training and motivation are provided to team members. The Payroll Operations Manager will develop and foster a branch focused on delivering world-class customer service.
Responsibilities will include:
· Monitor the efficiency and timeliness of the work flow to ensure that client processing deadlines and requirements are met.
· Coordinate information sharing between departments to maintain an efficient and practical approach to the over-all delivery of payroll services and training to internal and external customers.
· Partner with key members within the organization to meet client service delivery goals
· Develop Best Practices for service delivery
· Coach and develop team members
· Create and maintain a work atmosphere that supports individual and team goals for "Being the Best"
· Partner closely with Recruiting and HR partners to support recruiting and retention efforts
· Provide direction and effective resolutions for client issues and concerns
· Manage department attrition to company established goals and procedures
Required Skills
· Ability to oversee all client payroll activities
· Knowledge of related financial areas (tax, G/L, treasury)
· Effective planning & organization skills with excellent oral & written communication skills
· Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent telephone, communication and interpersonal skills
· CPP desirable
· Payroll service industry experience highly preferred
Required Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience
· Solid leadership skills and experience
· Minimum 4 years payroll processing experience
· Must be systems-oriented with proven automated integrated payroll experience
· Proficiency with MS Office
