SUMMARY
The Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new clients with potential annual revenue of $6,500 or more, headquartered within an assigned geographic territory, with a focus on obtaining continuous rapid growth and market share while ensuring corporate profitability and a positive return on investment.While the Account Executive is primarily responsible for acquiring net new business, there may be a component of account management which will require the planning, administering, monitoring and optimizing the revenue potential and operational performance of any assigned clients. The Account Executive is responsible to understand and comply with company principles, standards, goals, and objectives and to reinforce and exemplify the company’s values at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The core function of the Account Executive is to hunt and acquire new net large automatic revenue clients; winning business from new clients who were previously not buying from our organization. 

The specific responsibilities of the Account Executive are:
  • Achieve annual net new revenue quota through sales to new clients.
  • Sales quotas and growth targets are assessed annually and assigned by the District Sales Manager in combination with the Regional Vice President of Sales with Corporate oversight.
  • Provide input to corporate planning for targeted clients.  Evaluate and define the long term potential of these clients. 
  • Establish, build and manage strong long term client relationships and provide ongoing client contact for target clients as required.
  • Utilize our security audit and consultative sales processes.
  • Maintain client rapport after contract execution to identify future potential service needs. Ensure handoffs to Operations and Customer Service are successful and exceed client’s expectations.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve client satisfaction complaints and service issues as required.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the efficiency of all assigned clients.  Utilize production and revenue reports to continually ensure maximum revenue generation within these clients and take corrective action as require.
  • Communicate competitive movement in named target clients and in assigned territory, and develop win strategies for these clients.
  • Provide regular but no less than bi-weekly input to the sale activity and pipeline tracking system including any Sales Automation System.  This includes opportunity management and sales funnel updates. Record and report all activity required by management.      
  • Remain current with external conditions (clients, competitors, business trends, new business developments, service rates and practices) so as to optimize the company in the market place. 
 Education
  • Post secondary education (College or University Degree), preferably with a major in business.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5-years of successful business development and sales experience in large business to business selling organizations.
 Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrated expertise in initiating and managing successful business to business sales and service relationships.
  • An understanding of document destruction, records management, business continuity, and risk management solutions.
  • Demonstration of self-accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.
  • Excellent presentation skills are critical.
  • Excellent analytical skills are critical.
  • Superior knowledge of accessing and using the internet, contact management software, and MS Office tools.
